Постать Августина Волошина була сформована процесами національної мобілізації українців Закарпаття кінця ХІХ першої третини ХХ ст. Різнобічність його діяльности, безкорисливість, психологічна привабливість й авторитет, послідовність у відстоюванні єдності закарпатців з усім українським народом стали основою його політичного лідерства. З іншого боку, трагічність його долі суголосна трагедії, якої зазнав край в умовах гостро суперечливої міжнародної обстановки кінця 30-х середини 40-х рр. ХХ ст. Багато сторінок його діяльності є повчальними й для українського суспільства початку ХХІ ст.
A personality of Avgustyn Voloshyn was shaped by processes of Ukrainians" national mobilisation in Transcarpathian region from the end of XIX to the first thirdth ofXX century. A diversity of his activities, unselfishness and phsychological attractiveness and authority, consecution in fight for Transcarpathians" unification with the whole Ukrainian nation has become a basis for his political leadership. On the other hand his tragic fate was an echo of the tragedy through which the region has passed during the highly controversial international situation of the end of thirties вЂ" mid-forties of XX century. Many aspects of Voloshyn"s activities can be a good les&son to Ukrainian society on the outset of XXI century.
